About the role

  • Responsible for performing assignment required service and support of our Collins Aerospace avionics, avionics systems, telecommunications and aircraft sensor systems products for Boeing's production of new aircraft for airline customers.
  • Assist with Production/Flightline/Flight Test installation issues, operation, troubleshooting, repair and system test and training on site as required in accordance with Collins Aerospace and customer requirements.
  • May be required to act as on-site lead for major field installation or modification programs.
  • Services are performed using Collins Aerospace approved methods and workmanship standards to ensure optimum equipment operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Supports equipment and systems of high complexity and advanced technology.
  • Utilize developmental techniques for experimental or prototype equipment and during new product development.
  • Act as the face of Collins Aerospace and build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Develop close working relationships with Collins Aerospace Boeing Program Managers, Product Support Managers (PSM), Customer Support Managers (CSM) and Collins Engineering.
  • Interface with Boeing's Production Leaders, Engineering, Supplier Management and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Must be able to Obtain a Boeing Supplier Grey Badge and have a Valid Drivers License.
  • May require atypical hours at times to support customer needs.
  • Must have flexibility to support Boeing production on first or second shifts dependent on customer need/aircraft delivery reschedules.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Previous customer support experience in an aviation environment is required.
  • Previous field service engineering experience.
  • Must have avionics repair and/or avionics installation experience.
  • Aerospace and/or airline experience.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P).
  • FAA FCC License.
  • Software loading experience.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint drives.
  • Experience conducting presentations.
