About the role
- Develop and lead strategic procurement analyses that inform priorities, investment decisions, and long-term sourcing strategies.
- Partner to frame complex procurement challenges, develop data-based recommendations and lead execution.
- Build executive-ready materials that distill insights and drive alignment.
- Manage cross-functional execution teams focused on procurement strategy execution, ensuring clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution.
- Identify optimization opportunities that accelerate ES service adoption and expansion to accelerate RTX value.
- Lead transformation initiatives across the procurement life cycle for service optimization, service expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively evaluate program activities, build contingency plans, and execute corrective action on a timely basis to mitigate risks, including scope and budget variances.
- Identify and manage interdependencies across multiple workstreams and strategic initiatives, driving efficiency, execution speed and increased value realization across the enterprise.
- Manage quality measurements and monitoring mechanisms in place to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed expectations and integrate with overall program objectives.
- Adheres to CORE and project management methodology by leveraging and promoting the use of existing tools, capturing best practices, and identifying areas for process improvement.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
- Project and Program Management experience.
- Procurement experience
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Aerospace & Defense, Consulting, Program Management and/or Information Technology experience
- Prior work experience in Transformation solutions, including change management strategies
- Prior experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or transformation roles.
- Master’s degree or equivalent graduate education
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to represent the organization to key stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple competing initiatives
- Strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting.
