About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting needs.
- Utilize Snowflake to manage data warehousing, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Implement ETL processes using Matillion to integrate, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.
- Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting, optimizing for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Investigate and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and architecture.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering role, with proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a background in Snowflake, Matillion, Alteryx, and Tableau or relevant ETL and RDBMS technologies.
- Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
- Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices, with hands-on experience using Matillion or relevant tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Experience in agile methodologies and experience as a Data Engineer in a cross-functional agile team.
