About the role
- Monitor, interpret and assess European product safety regulations (e.g., EU Product Rules, ESPR, CE marking) and other applicable global regulatory requirements for applicability and impact to RTX products and operations.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical internal policies, procedures and governance processes to ensure sustained compliance across the organization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leadership on product safety regulatory risk, compliance status and emerging regulatory trends that could potentially impact program execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment, achieving regulatory compliance, balancing with business and operational considerations.
- Build strong internal networks and partnerships to drive accountability, consistency and timely execution of safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- 10 years of related work experience
- 8+ years of experience in technical disciplines relevant to aerospace and defense with focus on impact to product safety
- Proven experience working with and assessing European and other applicable global regulatory requirements
- Executive presence and influence – Proven experience working directly with executive and senior leaders
