About the role

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership to gain consensus on RFP strategies and ensure proposal compliance.
  • Maintain clear and concise written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams, including Programs, Operations, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Provide regular updates to internal customers on RFP strategies, issues, concerns, and status of completion.
  • Track and monitor supplier proposal status to ensure adherence to Raytheon RFP requirements.
  • Engage in proactive follow-ups and escalate issues to ensure proper resource allocation and successful task execution.
  • Lead and manage proposal kickoffs while offering strategic support throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure supplier proposals meet RFP requirements and align with customer deadlines.
  • Analyze large data sets to support Strategic Business Units in the development of quoting strategies for prime proposal submissions.
  • Oversee post-proposal activities such as Request for Information (RFIs), SWEEPs, and other post-submittal actions.
  • Partner with the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) Lead to incorporate proposal requirements into supplier LTAs, reducing proposal cycle times and improving procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Teams to align supplier strategies with proposal requirements and ensure valid and timely quotes are available.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, exhibiting self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency and ensure timely follow-up on stalled tasks to drive results.
  • Leverage expertise in defense industry procurement processes, including COTS, drawings, complex assemblies, and TINA compliance.
  • Utilize prior buying experience to support proposal efforts and procurement execution.
  • Effectively manage pressure from multiple sources while maintaining a collaborative and solution-focused approach.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience working in the Department of Defense (DoD) Aerospace & Defense industry
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Part 15 requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
