About the role
- Strategize, coordinate, and align supply chain efforts with acquisitions team to ensure timely PO placement and effective supplier management
- Manage key strategic suppliers and host weekly status meetings
- Monitor key performance indicators to maintain program health and supplier performance Aging purchase requisitions Past due purchase orders Supplier on time delivery
- Work closely with program office, materials management, engineering, quality, and operations to align supply chain efforts with customer and programs priorities
- Present and represent supply chain status and efforts to internal customers and stakeholders via public speaking in weekly and ad hoc program meetings
- Expedite critical material availability to support program and customer deployment schedule through line of balance tracking
- Support and/or develop monthly supply chain sales forecast publication and tracking
- Provide proposal support, lead customer proposal efforts on behalf of the Supply Chain Team Bill of material pricing Basis of estimate writing
- Be “the face” of supply chain, represent all supply chain functions in program meetings
- Improvising day to day to solve program critical ad hoc problems
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain management, procurement, subcontracts, or other similar role
- At least 1 year prior experience working with suppliers or in supplier management
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially excel (VLOOKUP, pivots, etc.)
- Must obtain MPM and EVMS online training certification within 1 year of hire
- Master’s degree in business, management, finance, supply chain, or similar concentration
- Strong experience with supplier management
- A customer service attitude
- Ability to lead efforts and resolve problems
- Ability and flexibility to function in a high pace, ever changing environment
- A team oriented and self-starter attitude
- Comfort and willingness with public speaking and representing supply chain
- Experience with MRP / SAP / KINAXIS
- The desire to be a leader and grow within an organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills
