About the role

  • Support program development through the application of reliability and maintainability techniques.
  • Participate in all phases of program life cycle, utilizing reliability and maintainability methodologies as they apply in our systems engineering processes in accordance with military standards such as MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-1629A.
  • Provides support to reliability and maintainability modeling and predictions analysis, testability analysis, maintainability and built-in-test demonstrations, environmental testing, FMEA/FMECA, and FRACAS.
  • Provides input to the development of Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Serve as a Reliability & Maintainability representative to engineering and business leadership.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret after start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Two (2) years of experience with systems engineering lifecycle, with knowledge of how to apply reliability and maintainability techniques to systems requirements
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience supporting design and development teams to develop, assess, and verify Reliability & Maintainability related requirements for mission-critical systems
  • Three (3) years of experience in conducting/developing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Built In Test (BIT) design / verification analysis, and/or testability analysis
