About the role
- Lead all aspects of program cost, schedule, and technical execution to drive predictable performance and meet contractual commitments of assigned programs.
- Utilize Earned Value Management to track program performance and recommend appropriate adjustments as needed.
- Deliver projects on time and on schedule through leadership of cross matrixed teams through empowerment, communication, setting expectations, and team building.
- Act as empowered authority to accomplish objectives with support from the program manager and product area director
- Drive tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of key programmatic metrics, define milestones, critical path and monitor adherence to program budgets and schedules.
- Support the development and tracking of the program Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-term financial outlook and commit to specific financial goals and obligations.
- Lead the collaboration necessary across functional groups, broader RTX organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success.
- Ensure that functional resources, tools, and processes are utilized in a consistent way.
- Support and direct new business capture and proposal activities.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 8 years prior relevant experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Experience managing a cross discipline Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Working knowledge of EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems), various Earned Value (EV) techniques and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
- Experience with Government contracting requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance once on the Program.
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting to customers and leadership.
- Ability to travel domestically for customers, company and program-related activities (up to 10%)
