About the role

  • Responsible for technical management functions related to revitalizations, technical projects, and supporting the project managers as needs arise
  • Proactively directs and drives ship technical/electrical projects within time frame and budget
  • Manages vendors to ensure they meet time, budget, safety and brand guidelines
  • Create strong link to marine operations and chief engineers to ensure operational needs are met
  • Develop cost reduction programs for projects
  • Maintain and support project budget alongside Project Manager(s) and Technical Manager(s)
  • Review project design proposals and prepare detailed reports as needed

Requirements

  • Background in Electrical, Electronic, and Power Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in shipping industry, classification society or similar
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent highly desirable
  • Experience as a passenger vessel Chief Electrical/Electronic Engineer is preferred
