About the role

  • Responsible for backup and restore strategies, high availability, monitoring, performance analysis, and disaster recovery testing
  • Planning and execution of migration, upgrade, and scaling projects
  • Establishing and further developing standards, automation, and technical documentation
  • Supporting our development teams with performance monitoring, index strategies, and database tuning
  • Ensuring security standards including access, patch, and permission management
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting complex performance and system issues
  • Close collaboration with ERP, BI, and web shop teams to optimize data-driven processes

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, primarily in Microsoft SQL environments
  • Deep knowledge of SQL Server management (e.g., SSMS, Always On, performance tuning, monitoring)
  • Experience building and operating highly available database clusters
  • Solid knowledge of data security, permission/access control concepts, and backup strategies
  • Good basic understanding of IT infrastructure (Windows & Linux servers, virtualization, storage, networking)
  • Experience with automation, e.g., via PowerShell or SQL Server Agent
  • Analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong solution orientation
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken (at least C2)
  • Willingness and ability to work at our locations in Germany
