About the role
- Enable smarter, faster procurement decisions using orchestration software and AI Agents at insurance fintech Root.
- Own end-to-end vendor and contract lifecycle for marketing, data, and digital platform vendors.
- Negotiate terms with agencies, platforms, and data providers, focusing on data elements, pixels, and performance-based marketing.
- Partner with Marketing, Data Science, Legal, IT, Finance, and InfoSec to ensure compliance, data governance, and campaign effectiveness.
- Execute sourcing strategies, drive cost savings, vendor consolidation, and procurement KPI visibility.
- Champion automation and standardization of vendor onboarding, risk assessments, and contract processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of procurement experience, with significant expertise in marketing procurement and digital media contracting.
- Strong knowledge of contracts involving data elements, pixels, and advertising platforms.
- Experience with printing physical mailers is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree with an analytical focus, or relevant certifications in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management.
- Experience leveraging procurement automation or orchestration software (Zip or similar) is a plus; strong interest in AI-enabled tools.
- Proven success negotiating savings, driving vendor performance, and improving procurement processes.
- Strong collaborator able to partner across Marketing, Data Science, Legal, IT, Finance, and InfoSec.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
