About the role
- Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product and within budget constraints
- Proposal and estimate generation, client negotiations, contract review and sub-contractor communications
- Usually involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients
- Discuss the financial aspects of project management: forecasting, cost tracking, percentage completion, revenue recognition, and project accounting
- Manage subcontracts including contract labor and fixed price deliverables
- Work with customers for business implementation strategies
- Primary interface with customer, sales and other Rockwell Automation entities for assigned projects
- Manage execution of moderate to large scale projects within margin targets
- Manage and report all financial aspects of assigned projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- 5+ years of experience with direct customer project management including all aspects of scope, schedule, quality, and financial management
- Experience in industrial production/manufacturing industry
- Experience with controls and automation
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Formal PMI based Project Management training.
