About the role
- Responsible for the development and execution of SEO strategies for individual clients of Rocket Clicks.
Actively engage in SEO analysis and strategy on a daily basis to drive performance results for clients.
Attend internal sprint meetings and client calls to support the Account Manager and foster client confidence.
Prioritize critical tasks, find efficiencies through automation and delegation to support team members.
Own strategic decisions within organic search optimization including technical SEO, on-page optimizations, and linking development.
Execute Rocket Clicks playbook for the particular client industry and ensure account execution follows company First Principles methodology.
Analyze performance data for monthly and quarterly reporting and own and delegate SEO tasks within weekly sprint planning framework.
Ideate experiments for client accounts to improve performance and work with design and editing partners to ensure content is search-friendly.
Act as Quality Assurance for conversion tracking and document client-specific tasks for delegation.
Attend client meetings as subject matter expert and audit other client accounts and prospects for opportunity harvesting and strategy validation.
Contribute to iterative documentation improvements of industry team and organic search discipline.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experiential knowledge
Prior experience working in a professional services organization
5+ years professional experience in digital marketing, 3+ specialized in SEO
Experience leading or managing teams of individual contributors
Preference given to candidates with experience working for/with law firms
Strong technical SEO skills, demonstrated through experience with schema markup, site architecture, internal and external linking strategies, page redirects and status codes, crawl budget, HTML/CSS, etc.
Demonstrated expertise with key SEO tools and platforms such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush
Set up and troubleshoot conversion tracking for digital analytics
Successfully manage SEO campaigns across 10-20 brands and accounts
Maintain a detailed six-month roadmap of SEO initiatives
Track, manage, and report on defined SEO performance KPIs
Conduct strategic forecasting and budget planning for SEO efforts on six-month or longer timeframes
Work closely with paid search and social experts to integrate SEO strategies with paid efforts
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working
