About the role

  • Provide assessment and treatment services to children, youth, and families
  • Drive therapeutic intervention, skills development, and psycho-education in individual, family, and group settings
  • Report to the Clinical Manager and coordinate cases
  • Advocate for clients and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
  • Contribute to program development and supervise students
  • Ensure accurate documentation and uphold client safety standards.

Requirements

  • A relevant master’s degree from a recognized university
  • Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)
  • Certification in Infant Mental Health and/or training in infant and child development is preferred
  • A minimum of three years clinical experience working with infants, young children and their families
  • Relevant knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children, youth, and families that are encountering mental health issues.
  • Practice or training in one or more of the following skill areas: Providing group treatment OR facilitating parent events. CBT, and/or trauma assessment skills.
  • Working across the age continuum using clinical frames, such as systemic family therapy, attachment, and developmental lenses.
  • Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
  • Current (within three months) criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
