About the role
- As a ROCK Therapist (birth to age 8) , you will focus on early assessment, intervention, risk identification, caregiver support, and skills development for infants and young children up to age 8 and their families.
- In this permanent full-time role (35 hours per week), you will report to the Clinical Manager and deliver services using a family centered and developmentally informed approach.
- Your passion for therapeutic intervention, skills development, and psycho-education will drive your work in individual, family, and group settings.
- Additionally, you will contribute to program development, supervise students, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold client safety standards.
Requirements
- A relevant master’s degree from a recognized university.
- Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
- Certification in Infant Mental Health and/or training in infant and child development is preferred
- A minimum of three years clinical experience working with infants, young children and their families
- Relevant knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children, youth, and families that are encountering mental health issues.
- practice or training in one or more of the following skill areas: Providing group treatment OR facilitating parent events. CBT, and/or trauma assessment skills.
- Working across the age continuum using clinical frames, such as systemic family therapy, attachment, and developmental lenses.
- Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
- Current (within three months) criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
