About the role
- Capital Equipment Sales Role responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives in targeted accounts across specified territories
- Develop customer prospects and create and maintain relationships with decision makers
- Minimum of 10 to 15 in person sales calls per week in assigned territory; able to do overnights as needed
- Deliver value quantification presentations and present contract proposals to customers; negotiate to obtain sales
- Sell Roche chemistry, immunoassay and automation products and services to hospital and reference laboratory accounts
- Generate demand and maximize product awareness by educating laboratory diagnostics customers
- Prepare reagent and capital equipment proposals and work with colleagues to maximize business and profitability
- Conduct territory planning and routing; communicate competitive market information internally
- Network and interface with internal colleagues and industry/customer organizations to share information and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years relevant sales or equivalent experience
- Participation in an approved accelerated development, fellowship or rotational program may be considered in lieu of experience
- Minimum of 10 to 15 in person sales calls per week required in assigned territory
- Must live within 50 miles of the territory with ability to travel throughout the territory for customer meetings
- Able to do overnights as needed
- Field-based role, territory Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas
- In-depth knowledge of product line and clinical laboratory area
- Experience developing customer prospects and maintaining relationships with decision makers
- Ability to prepare and present value quantification presentations and contract proposals
- Ability to negotiate and resolve customer issues
- Conduct territory planning and routing for efficiency
- Eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
