About the role

  • Promote molecular diagnostic testing for infectious disease, respiratory and transplantation
  • Contact new and existing customers to meet and exceed sales objectives in targeted accounts
  • Develop new business and grow existing business while maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting problems
  • Identify and develop strategic account plans
  • Develop and deliver messaging and economic value for products and services
  • Overcome and manage objections and negotiate sales
  • Generate demand and maximize product awareness
  • Implement strategic initiatives and plans for sales process and productivity
  • Prepare proposals for assigned accounts
  • Present contract proposals to maximize overall business and profitability
  • Conduct territory planning and routing for efficiency
  • Conduct business analysis and planning
  • Share competitive market information internally
  • Network and interface with internal colleagues to share information and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years relevant sales or equivalent experience
  • Participation in an approved accelerated development, fellowship, or rotational program may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Experience in diagnostics sales is strongly preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Negotiation, contracting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills
