About the role
- Promote molecular diagnostic testing for infectious disease, respiratory and transplantation
- Contact new and existing customers to meet and exceed sales objectives in targeted accounts
- Develop new business and grow existing business while maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting problems
- Identify and develop strategic account plans
- Develop and deliver messaging and economic value for products and services
- Overcome and manage objections and negotiate sales
- Generate demand and maximize product awareness
- Implement strategic initiatives and plans for sales process and productivity
- Prepare proposals for assigned accounts
- Present contract proposals to maximize overall business and profitability
- Conduct territory planning and routing for efficiency
- Conduct business analysis and planning
- Share competitive market information internally
- Network and interface with internal colleagues to share information and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years relevant sales or equivalent experience
- Participation in an approved accelerated development, fellowship, or rotational program may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Experience in diagnostics sales is strongly preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations
- Proven leadership abilities
- Negotiation, contracting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a regulated environment
- Strategic planning and organizational skills
