About the role
- Own the vision, strategy, and execution for security initiatives across Security Tooling and Detection and Response Platform teams.
- Craft the team’s roadmap, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and deliver localized experiences to global users.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including project prioritization, sprint planning, and on-call retrospectives.
- Support engineers in their professional growth with clear feedback and grow technical leaders.
- Ensure high technical standards by instituting processes (design reviews, testing) and culture (engineering excellence).
- Build partnerships and collaborate across organizations and with cross-functional teams to drive execution and shipping velocity and quality.
- Set the multidisciplinary direction of backend engineering and empower a high-performing team to drive technical excellence and product innovation.
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering teams in solving sophisticated problems.
- A strong software engineering background.
- Strong opinions about how to make developers as productive as possible.
- Strong communication skills; clarity of thought.
