About the role

  • Oversees the IT operational duties and procedures for the commercial transportation product group
  • Develop efficiencies and process improvements for the commercial transportation group
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team in order to address business requirements to ensure a successful product based on business value
  • Drives the creation of and the ongoing health of the product backlog
  • With the team’s Scrum Master, co-leads grooming of the product backlog and ensures the backlog is correctly prioritized based on business value
  • Responsible for ensuring the Scrum Master and development team are focused on the right priorities during the development process
  • Primary point of contact for questions from the team and is empowered to make decisions
  • Provides clear detailed requirements and acceptance criteria to the IT delivery team
  • Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Team
  • Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to the stakeholders and clients
  • Leads in special projects and duties as needed

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field
  • 6+ years of related experience for consideration
  • Deep understanding of commercial transportation is strongly preferred, but not required
  • P&C insurance knowledge is required [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
  • Must be well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
  • Possess strong analytical skills and ability to define business cases
  • Flexible and adaptable in an evolving environment, including willingness to learn new processes and serve as a champion for improvement initiatives
  • Ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others
  • Experience delivering software solutions in an Agile environment preferred
