About the role
- Oversees the IT operational duties and procedures for the commercial transportation product group
- Develop efficiencies and process improvements for the commercial transportation group
- Defines and conveys the vision to the team in order to address business requirements to ensure a successful product based on business value
- Drives the creation of and the ongoing health of the product backlog
- With the team’s Scrum Master, co-leads grooming of the product backlog and ensures the backlog is correctly prioritized based on business value
- Responsible for ensuring the Scrum Master and development team are focused on the right priorities during the development process
- Primary point of contact for questions from the team and is empowered to make decisions
- Provides clear detailed requirements and acceptance criteria to the IT delivery team
- Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Team
- Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to the stakeholders and clients
- Leads in special projects and duties as needed
Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field
- 6+ years of related experience for consideration
- Deep understanding of commercial transportation is strongly preferred, but not required
- P&C insurance knowledge is required [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
- Must be well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
- Possess strong analytical skills and ability to define business cases
- Flexible and adaptable in an evolving environment, including willingness to learn new processes and serve as a champion for improvement initiatives
- Ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others
- Experience delivering software solutions in an Agile environment preferred
