About the role
- Own and manage the monthly/quarterly/year-end close for the India entity, including journals, accruals, provisions, prepaids, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL governance.
- Oversee accounting deliverables for the US entity performed by the India team, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Ensure financial statements and schedules are prepared in line with applicable standards.
- Lead end-to-end AP operations including vendor onboarding governance and invoice processing.
- Manage India tax compliances in coordination with advisors where needed.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA), ICAI (mandatory).
- 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably within a mid-size Global Capability Center / Shared Services / MNC environment in India.
- Strong hands-on expertise in financial accounting and close management, AP and AR operations leadership, India taxation and compliance management (GST, TDS, statutory timelines), and coordinating corporate/secretarial compliance requirements for India entities.
- Experience working with cross-border stakeholders, especially US finance teams, and managing deliverables across time zones.
