About the role

  • Work on various storage protocols like iSCSI, FC and NFS across different enterprise level storage array and block and file storages with popular cloud service providers
  • Design, implement, and unit test Edge computing product features, with end-to-end responsibility for feature success throughout the development lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and fix in market product capabilities
  • Collaborate across Riverbed teams on various cross-product Steelcentral controller and SteelHead features and initiatives
  • Work in an agile environment with a regular release cadence
  • Work closely with the Riverbed engineering in Bangalore

Requirements

  • 3 + years of professional hands-on software engineering experience
  • Domain Knowledge in Linux, Windows and knowledge in one of the virtualization/storage protocols/Filesystems/snapshot & backup/replication technologies
  • A minimum of one or two of the following skillsets is required
  • Experience in applications built over various storage protocols like iSCSI, FC/NFS
  • Experience with Block Storage
  • Experience with Filesystem development like NFS/CIFS/SMB
  • Deep understanding of Linux (ext4.) and Windows Filesystems (NTFS / ReFS) or VMFS
  • Or Experience in various virtualization technologies
  • Experience with KVM / HyperV / VMware / AHV
  • Experience with vSphere SDK / Windows SDK development
  • Or Experience in snapshot/backup technologies
  • Familiarity with VMware VADP, Microsoft VSS and backup methodologies
  • Worked on backup applications, snapshots
  • Or Experience in storage replication technologies
  • Understanding of block and file replication algorithms
  • Understanding of Checksum/Hashing
