About the role
- Plan, film, and edit videos for information dissemination, marketing, and training supporting the Public Affairs Office
- Work closely with DHA R&D-MRDC’s Strategic Communications team to generate topic-centric videos for multiple formats (PowerPoint, YouTube, trade shows, website)
- Capture high-quality, compelling photographs at official events; edit photos and deliver files in a timely manner
- Take well-composed photos, conduct basic photo editing, select best photos for articles and social media, and capture headshots for Senior Leaders
- Capture high-quality videos, conduct interviews with Subject Matter Experts, and capture additional B-roll footage from visits and events
- Regularly propose new content ideas with contractor and Government teammates to highlight command initiatives
- Maintain an internal catalog of video content for reuse across products
- Maintain and populate Social Media sites with militarily relevant content after close coordination with the Strategic Communications team
- Meet high-visibility, quick-turn requests and deliverables in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience
- Project coordination experience involving planning and ideation, implementation, and rapid turn-around for deliverables
- Advanced experience with high-quality video capture, editing, and production
- Advanced experience with photography capture and editing
- Experience with Social Media site maintenance and content creation
- Prior visual communications experience with the federal government
- Must be willing and able to report to client site (Frederick, MD) on a daily basis
- U.S. citizenship required by Government contract
- NACI clearance required
- Preferred: Experience with health, science, research and/or development offices and divisions in the military
