About the role
- Conducting ongoing discovery across functions (Sales, Finance, HR, Customer Success, Legal, etc.) to identify high-value automation and AI opportunities
- Developing and maintaining a prioritized AI/automation opportunity pipeline with business cases tied to ROI, time savings, and risk reduction
- Leading end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives — from scoping and vendor selection through implementation and adoption — without necessarily owning the engineering resources
- Serving as the internal subject matter expert on AI tools, agentic workflows, RPA platforms, and LLM-powered process automation
- Partnering with IT and Engineering to ensure solutions are architecturally sound, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Building strong relationships with business unit leaders to embed a culture of continuous automation thinking across the organization
- Defining and tracking KPIs that demonstrate the business impact of automation initiatives
- Monitoring the external AI/automation landscape and bringing relevant innovations back to the business
- Representing Operations in enterprise-wide AI governance and strategy discussions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in operations, business transformation, or technology roles — with meaningful hands-on experience in AI and automation
- Technically credible: you understand LLMs, prompt engineering, workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier, MuleSoft, or similar), APIs, and AI integration patterns well enough to evaluate trade-offs, guide engineers, and engage in substantive design conversations.
- Proven track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and delivering measurable, automation-driven improvements
- Demonstrated track record of taking AI automation initiatives from concept to production at enterprise scale—not just building strategies, but shipping solutions that delivered measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language — and business pain into solvable technical problems
- Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable influencing senior leaders without direct authority
- Strong program management instincts: you bring structure and rigor to ambiguous environments, manage multiple concurrent initiatives without losing momentum, and hold teams accountable to outcomes over activities.
- Experience managing vendors and implementation partners
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment — this role will evolve as the company’s AI maturity grows
- Experience in SaaS or technology companies preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
