About the role
- Manage presales tasks and projects in coordination with the Sales teams
- Directly consult with customers, system integrators, consultants, and Riedel staff
- Produce full-scale, elaborate written technical proposals, system designs, and drawings
- Coordinate technical responses to RFP/RFI tenders
- Represent the company at customer-facing and industry events
- Prepare quality customer facing proposal supplements
- Maintain up-to-date information and documentation
- Provide consultancy throughout the sales and post-sale lifecycle
- Identify opportunities to expand the customer solution
- Manage the transition to the Professional Services and Support teams
- Organize and deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and presentations of products and solutions
- Proactively educate clients and business partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, SW/EE engineering, computer science, or related field
- 3+ years of combined sales, sales engineering, presales experience
- Strong understanding of the Broadcast / Media technology market
- Knowledge and experience with development and CRM tools (Salesforce, Atlassian Jira/Confluence preferred)
- Knowledge of communication, digital audio technologies and standards (AES3, AES67, ST 2110, NMOS, PTP)
- Knowledge of video technologies and standards (SDI, ST 2110, ST 2022-7, NMOS, PTP)
- Knowledge of IP technologies and standards (VM, TCP, UDP, IGMP, VLAN, PTP, Cisco, Arista, NETGEAR certification preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud-based media streaming technologies (RTMP, SRT, JPEG-XS, MXF, etc) and public cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure, Google)
- Technical knowledge of live production equipment (software production switchers, instant replay, video review, etc.)
- Knowledge of fiber optic systems and RF systems a plus
- Proficient with CAD design (AutoCad, Visio etc…)
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Understanding of knowledge management principles and methodologies
- Proven ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Mobility and willingness to travel – lives within reachable proximity of a major airport (willing to travel approximately 50% of the time)
