About the role

Lead a team of engineers developing AI-powered agent workflows and infrastructure embedded in Ridgeline’s unified cloud platform
Collaborate with product, AI, and design leaders to align technical strategy with customer value and roadmap priorities
Contribute to the codebase during key initiatives while guiding overall architecture and development standards
Coach, mentor, and inspire engineers to grow in their careers and deliver high-quality, scalable software
Establish engineering processes and rituals that promote velocity, reliability, and ownership
Advocate for scalable abstractions and resilient agent orchestration that supports rapid iteration and learning
Integrate best-in-class generative AI practices including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), structured prompting, and LLM observability into production pipelines
Drive alignment across engineering, product, and design in a multi-location organization
Foster a learning culture that encourages experimentation, shared knowledge, and inclusivity
Champion high standards of code quality, testing, and operational excellence
Represent engineering in strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives

7+ years in a hands-on software engineering management role, including experience architecting and delivering cloud-native applications
Proven success building and leading high-performing engineering teams, ideally in AI or data-intensive product environments
Expertise with modern tech stacks (e.g., Kotlin, Java, React, TypeScript, AWS)
Familiarity with deploying LLMs and related tools in production systems
Deep understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and performance optimization
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting innovation and long-term strategy
Commitment to building equitable, inclusive, and engaged teams
Enthusiasm for experimentation, public learning, and embracing the evolving AI landscape
