About the role

  • Own the core economic and financial model for Rhythm’s residential battery VPP
  • Model how batteries and solar behave in the real world
  • Design and evaluate business models that make Rhythm’s VPP programs scalable
  • Collaborate with Portfolio, Product, and Marketing to design the economics behind VPP customer offers
  • Enable cross‑functional teams with clear economics and scenarios
  • Support investor and capital-provider conversations

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years in renewable/DER project finance, energy/infrastructure finance, or similar roles
  • Proven experience building complex models from scratch
  • Hands-on experience with distributed energy resources (batteries, solar, VPPs, DR)
  • Experience with wholesale power markets; ERCOT exposure is preferred
  • Expert‑level Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data‑savvy; comfortable working with data (SQL/Python/R or BI tools)
