About the role
- Lead daily maintenance and troubleshooting activities across steel plant electrical and mechanical systems.
- Manage and optimize RHI Magnesita flow control equipment and Cold setting Tundish machines.
- Read, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical diagrams and related circuits.
- Perform PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting, including logic interpretation and parameter adjustments.
- Maintain and manage electrical communication networks and industrial protocols used by plant automation systems.
- Oversee spare parts planning, ordering, inventory management, and stock level control to prevent shortages and ensure equipment readiness.
- Conduct equipment condition monitoring and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Maintain service logs, maintenance reports, failure analyses, and improvement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and maintenance governance standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of mechanical and electrical components.
- Engage with local vendors for purchasing, repairs.
- Identify improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, optimize equipment performance, and increase reliability.
- Participating in root cause analyses and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Electrical/ Millwright trade qualification with mechanical experience
- And / or a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in steel plant maintenance.
- Solid hands-on expertise machinery troubleshooting
- Practical experience in spare parts ordering, inventory management, and stock level planning.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Strong safety mindset and the ability to work effectively in high-demand industrial environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office; English fluency written and spoken.
