About the role

  • Audit daily plant performance efficiencies and KPIs; advise facility management of deviations from specified operating settings
  • Prepare performance data and reports and lead weekly production meetings to review plant performance and discuss improvement and recovery plans
  • Develop and manage the Facility Production Action Items list
  • Work closely with Regional Engineering/Operations and Corporate Process Engineering teams
  • Modify and tune combustion and process controls to improve plant stability, production, and environmental performance
  • Review all proposed changes with Regional Engineering/Operations prior to implementation
  • Collaborate with Regional Engineering/Operations and the Productivity group to ensure all plant performance goals are achieved
  • Stay aligned with recommendations from Boiler Condition Assessment Reports prepared by the Boiler Reliability Group and updated after each major outage
  • Identify and investigate issues related to combustion or process performance
  • Challenge facility and system performance using engineering resources, operating history, and industry standards and best practices
  • Present technical challenges and recommendations to facility management in a clear, constructive manner that supports operating requirements
  • Coordinate and prioritize internal and external resources (including third-party services when needed) to guide technical progress and ensure adherence to Reworld’s O&M philosophy
  • Coordinate the review and approval of all physical changes to the facility
  • Manage projects through all phases, including conceptual design, detailed design, equipment and construction specifications, contractor selection, and construction management
  • Occasionally support engineering projects at other facilities within the region by replicating proven solutions and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of Power Plant Operations & Maintenance experience (strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated hands-on process engineering experience
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to effectively present information to individuals and small or large groups
  • Strong reasoning and critical-thinking skills with the ability to address complex problems involving multiple variables
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of tasks and initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site on a regular basis.
