About the role
- Contribute to the design of seasonal activewear collections from concept to final sample.
- Create sketches, CADs, and detailed tech packs to communicate design intent clearly.
- Research fabrics, trims, finishes, and innovations in performance wear.
- Ensure designs balance style, function, and commercial viability.
- Work closely with the Design Director and Senior Merchant to ensure alignment on design vision, brand positioning, and merchandising strategy.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including buying, product development, and technical design to ensure alignment and timely execution.
- Ensure all design work adheres to seasonal calendars and deadlines.
- Review samples and make fit, fabric, and construction adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in women’s apparel design, ideally with activewear, performance wear, or athleisure.
- Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design tools.
- Strong ability to create and update tech packs with accurate details.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrications (especially performance fabrics).
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with production, technical design, and merchandising teams.
