About the role

  • Serve as the Technical Design Authority, ensuring all migration solutions align with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and security guardrails.
  • Design "write once, deploy many" Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and define the automation standards that drive velocity.
  • Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for complex banking applications, leading the strategy for replatforming and refactoring legacy databases (Oracle/SQL to Aurora/RDS).
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams, resolving complex blockers related to networking, storage, and latency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and security teams to ensure target state architectures meet rigorous financial regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, GDPR).

Requirements

  • 8+ years in IT with 5+ years specifically in Cloud Architecture (AWS)
  • Proven experience designing migration paths from legacy on-premise environments (VMware, Windows Server, Linux) to AWS.
  • Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and designing secure Landing Zones.
  • Strong knowledge of database modernization patterns (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL/Aurora) and integration architectures.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience in the Financial Services sector or designing for highly regulated environments.
