About the role

  • Own assigned close areas, including pre-close reviews, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple subsidiaries, including intercompany activity as needed
  • Support monthly financial statement preparation and management reporting
  • Support consolidation activities and close deliverables for multiple entities
  • Help design and implement scalable accounting processes and internal controls
  • Document and maintain accounting SOPs so the team can execute consistently
  • Support annual external audit and tax preparation, including PBC schedules and requests
  • Contribute to investor and board reporting materials as needed
  • Maintain a high bar for confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance in a defense-focused environment

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting
  • Current, hands-on NetSuite experience in a staff accountant or senior accountant role
  • Advanced Excel skills, strong reconciliations, and strong documentation habits
  • Clear written communication, organized follow-through, and an ownership mindset
