About the role

  • Coordinate monthly closings and prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data (reconciliations, variance analysis, performance monitoring)
  • Provide relevant financial analysis to management and business units
  • Participate in audits, budgeting, forecasting and transformation projects
  • Implement and improve accounting processes, policies and internal controls
  • Lead the financial integration of acquisitions
  • Supervise, coach and develop the accounting team
  • Participate in performance evaluations and salary reviews
  • Plan and prioritize the team’s work to meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • CPA designation (required)
  • Strong proficiency with financial systems
  • Solid expertise in financial accounting, consolidation and treasury
  • Strong analytical skills and sound professional judgment
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate and mobilize a team
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in continuous improvement and technological tools
  • Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments (significant asset)
  • Team management experience
  • Bilingual (French and English) to support stakeholders in both languages
