Systems Engineer

• Support infrastructure operations to closely align with primary department goals.
• Trains IT professionals both internal and external, such as support specialists, system engineers, IT analysts and technicians, to work as members of the IT department.
• Maintains relationships/works with vendors-consultants on technical support issues.
• Maintains and monitors inventory of available hardware devices and corresponding software assets to ensure strong capacity planning, license compliance and meets operational needs of our businesses.
• Configures and installs new servers, storage and network equipment in support of internal projects and user requests.
• Responsible for installation, configuration, administration security, performance tuning, analysis and problem resolution.
• Troubleshoots server and storage hardware, software and connectivity issues; provides problem management, ownership and IT escalation support.
• Provides end user technical support for non-standard software products required by the business or one of its departments.
• Provides change, configuration and release management for the production environment to maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Tests operating systems, software and hardware in support of business needs to evaluate ease of use, appropriate functionality and integration into our environment.
• Documents application installation, backup, recovery, disaster recovery procedures to support applications running on Windows server environment.
• Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
