About the role

  • Works closely with the national PR team to shape and develop our client offerings and expertise
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with some of our largest PR clients
  • Guides teams in clients' day-to-day PR needs, including overseeing media monitoring, trend analysis, and crisis communications management
  • Solves problems and proactively identifies potential issues
  • Oversees and mentors junior team members
  • Presents PR offerings and strategic opportunities as part of business development efforts
  • Encourages creative thinking with clients while ensuring work remains aligned with strategy
  • Collaborates with strategy, creative, media, and account teams to establish amplification strategies for creative campaigns
  • Proposes new approaches, processes, and tools to improve our services
  • Tracks revenue, manages day-to-day client relationships, and oversees onboarding of new clients

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and decisive decision-making for complex or creative integrated PR and marketing campaigns
  • Excellent understanding of the Canadian media landscape
  • Good understanding of integrated campaign considerations combining earned media and social media on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
  • Established industry relationships and a natural ability to develop new ones
