About the role
- Develop and optimize in‑house assembly processes for soft neural interface devices.
- Perform electrochemical characterization and mechanical testing of devices.
- Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis to provide design feedback.
- Work with external vendors on manufacturing and assembly process outsourcing.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Biomedical Engineering (or related field), *or* a Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
- Academic or industry experience with implantable devices.
- Experience in microfabrication, device packaging, and assembly.
- Proficiency with electrochemical testing techniques (e.g., EIS, CV).
- Experience with failure‑analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SEM, EDS, SIMS, XPS, XRD, FTIR).
