About the role
- provide subject matter expertise supporting the Artillery Execution Suite (AXS) program
- use understanding of staff roles, functions and organizational structures to support systems engineering activities
- work with user organizations and operational units to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and TTPs
- capture user stories, customer use cases, and draft System Engineering artifacts
- identify desired system functionality and validate operational use cases
- work with Army, Joint, and Coalition units to improve software design and TTPs
- identify unit specific data sources and systems needed to be integrated
- assist in training development and user training support
- participate in working groups, forums, and analytical activities
- create and deliver high-quality briefings, documents, reports to customers
- develop white papers and concept documents supporting product development and business development activities
- effectively translate and communicate relevant operational/domain information within your team
Requirements
- at least 10 years of relevant experience
- targeting experience at a Division level or higher
- served in the military as a senior NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer
- knowledgeable of Army and Joint Targeting doctrine
- experience with Army Tactical systems and relevant joint fires systems (ie. JADOCS, AFATDS)
- served in a leadership or technical position at a DIV/BCT or higher
- must have strong planning, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting facts using the appropriate data collection and dissemination tools/techniques
- possesses a thorough knowledge of applicable complex operational mission areas and program requirements
- must be able to work independently with limited oversight and function effectively as part of a geographically separated team
- must have experience developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures or other process documents
- experience performing tasks with Microsoft productivity software and applications
