About the role
- Responsible for identifying and implementing third party waste disposal and recycling solutions
- Review inbound waste profiles and related documents for compliance
- Provide customers with safe and compliant environmental solutions
- Provide bid and pricing support, third party waste shipment analysis, and market information on vendors
- Analyze and recommend use of alternative sources or materials to reduce costs
- Recertify waste streams at various 3rd party locations
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of the stakeholder’s business
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of RCRA, DOT, TSCA and state regulations
- Knowledge of waste characterization principles and practices including analysis and evaluation, and waste processing protocols
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to analyze waste volumes and vendor spend information to suggest cost savings
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks with varying and sometimes competing timelines
- Advanced analytical and decision-making abilities
- Experience working at a RCRA Part B permitted TSDF
- Experience negotiating pricing and customer terms
- 4 - 7 years of overall relevant work experience
