• Independently manage a portfolio of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation disputes
• Develop legal strategy and defense positions, including reviewing pleadings and preparing for depositions
• Direct and manage outside counsel for high-quality representation
• Conduct and oversee internal investigations related to regulatory issues
• Partner with business and compliance teams to identify emerging risks
• Review and respond to escalated consumer complaints
• Analyze complaint trends and root causes for preventative measures
• Serve as a trusted advisor providing clear legal guidance
• Drive alignment between legal, compliance, and business teams

Recruitment

• Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts primarily supporting Sales, Loan Servicing, Customer Onboarding, and Customer Experience teams
• Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, execute recruiting plans, and provide regular updates throughout the hiring process
• Source, engage, and assess talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, and job boards
• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs
• Deliver a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication and managing the interview process
• Coordinate interviews and facilitate collaboration between candidates, hiring teams, HR, and cross-functional partners
• Maintain accurate candidate, interview, and hiring data within Ashby
• Utilize recruiting technologies, sourcing platforms, and automation tools to improve recruiter efficiency and candidate engagement
• Identify and implement improvements to recruiting processes, candidate experience, and team workflows
