Oversee all domestic tax matters including tax returns and provisions in partnership with Big 4 Tax consultants
Oversee international tax compliance including transfer pricing documentation, country-by-country reporting, and foreign tax return filings across key jurisdictions
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate global tax filings
Manage tax audits and inquiries from international tax authorities
Ensure compliance with BEPS and FACTA requirements and evolving international tax regulations including Pillar Two global minimum tax rules
Support quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including calculation of foreign tax credits and analysis of uncertain tax positions
Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax such as VAT, GST, Sales Tax, Property tax, etc.
Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for international expansion into new markets
Advise on cross-border transactions including IP migration, intercompany agreements, and repatriation strategies
Optimize the company's effective tax rate through strategic planning initiatives
Evaluate tax implications of corporate development activities including M&A transactions, joint ventures, and divestitures.
Establish and maintain transfer pricing policies for intercompany transactions including cost-sharing arrangements for R&D activities
Prepare transfer pricing documentation and support transfer pricing studies
Monitor compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements across jurisdictions
Partner with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Business Development teams on international tax matters
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement technology solutions for tax compliance and reporting
Stay current on international tax law developments, particularly those affecting technology companies and AI-related intellectual property
Mentor and train junior tax team members on international tax matters.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; active CPA required and CA, JD, or MST in addition to CPA preferred
6-8 years of progressive international tax experience, including time at a Big Four accounting firm or in-house at a multinational technology company
Deep knowledge of US international tax provisions (Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT) and foreign tax credit planning
Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements
Experience with ASC 740 tax provision and financial statement reporting
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience with international tax matters specific to software, SaaS, or technology companies (Preferred)
