About the role

  • Analyse spending data to identify cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Ensure key suppliers are managed under contracts.
  • Support supplier management on key suppliers.
  • Run tenders and informal market pricing benchmarking.
  • Manage internal processes related to data gathering.
  • Build and maintain strong relations with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Provide support on the waste category management.
  • Ensure supplier management information is sent within contracted timeframes.
  • Manage internal trackers.
  • Source a range of diverse and sustainable products and services.
  • Conduct ongoing supplier spending analysis.
  • Work with legal colleagues to negotiate draft contracts on service-level agreements.
  • Track and report on critical supplier contract performances.
  • Travel to suppliers.

Requirements

  • One year minimum experience in a previous procurement role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT skills in particular Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Confident in handling difficult conversations.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to negotiate and build rapport with people at all levels.
  • Excellent team player.
  • You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role.
  • Full driving licence.
