About the role
- Supervise and mentor field service technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient execution of day-to-day activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, providing guidance on technical and operational challenges.
- Promote a collaborative and solutions-oriented team culture.
- Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of field services.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service response times, task completion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Address on-the-ground issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
- Serve as the first escalation point for field service-related issues, working with customers to resolve concerns in a timely manner.
- Build positive relationships with customers by ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Gather and act on customer feedback to improve service processes.
- Support the execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all service activities.
- Identify and implement small-scale process improvements to increase team efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with team members to adopt new tools and technologies for field operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Regularly inspect fieldwork to confirm adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on service progress, team performance, and operational challenges.
- Analyze service data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Technical or Trade degree, or equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven ability to manage and support field teams in dynamic environments.
- Strong understanding of field service workflows, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems, EV technology, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve client issues effectively.
- Skilled in identifying practical solutions to on-the-ground challenges.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
