Field Applications Engineer, Analog & Power

Designer

• Drive the Project development for automotive MCU products from Planning to MP (Mass Production) phase on schedule
• Collaborate closely across multiple departments such as Customers, Software Teams, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Sales and Vendors/Suppliers during project development phase
• Deploy best Program Management Practices: Bottoms-up planning, Dependency mapping, Critical path analysis and Risk mitigation using industry standard planning tools such as MS-Project for Project planning and execution
• Monitor the Project development progress and report the status on a regular basis and escalate issues whenever needed
• Provide regular Project updates to the Senior Management
• Co-ordinate and Conduct Project Gate reviews
• Take personal accountability to drive the projects and deliver them on schedule
• Ensure proper project meeting cadence is in place and with regular follow-ups on ALL Action Items to resolve any open issues
• Support Program Manager and project team in all organizational activities during the project development

Senior Staff – Program Design

• Lead customer power architecture development, including power tree design, device selection, and system optimization.
• Perform technical design reviews, root-cause analysis, and hands-on debug for complex analog and power-related issues.
• Drive new product evaluations and competitive positioning for Renesas power and analog portfolio (PMICs, DC/DC, LDOs, battery management, signal chain).
• Execute extensive hands-on lab work, including board bring-up, measurement, validation, and failure analysis.
• Support system-level design integration, ensuring alignment between power, processor, and connectivity subsystems.
• Provide direct technical guidance to customers to accelerate designs from concept to production revenue.
• Deliver field feedback to product divisions, influencing roadmap, feature prioritization, and system solution gaps.
• Develop and present customer trainings, technical seminars, and internal enablement content.

Staff Field Applications Engineer – FAE

Product Marketing

• Drive Channel engagements for our Solutions and New Product releases
• Focus on Channel meetings, Mass Market customers and driving application-level business opportunities through early customer engagement
• Be the regional lead for ensuring local distributor partners have share of mind of NPI’s and Solutions
• Work with Sales, Product Group partners and Solutions Team to formulate plan of engagement at local Distributor Partners
• Present at Distributor offices
• Hold Workshops with Distributors and Customers on new Solutions and NPI’s
• Support team in building relationships with key accounts and ecosystem partners
