About the role

  • Lead comprehensive technical SEO audits and deliver prioritised, actionable recommendations
  • Optimise crawlability, indexation, and site architecture
  • Monitor and improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall technical performance
  • Oversee implementation of structured data (schema/JSON-LD) to enhance SERP features
  • Manage technical elements including: Redirects and canonicalisation, URL structures, HTTPS and security, Mobile usability and accessibility
  • Collaborate closely with developers to scope and implement technical fixes
  • Identify and resolve crawl errors, indexing issues, and ranking barriers
  • Track, analyse, and report on organic search performance
  • Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and evolving technical SEO best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Senior Technical SEO role (agency or in-house)
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools such as: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and/or SEMrush, Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights / GTMetrix
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and their SEO impact
  • Experience working with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Magento)
  • Strong knowledge of: Structured data and schema markup, Canonicalisation and redirect management, Server-side SEO fundamentals (caching, CDN configuration)
  • Ability to translate technical SEO requirements clearly to developers
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Desirable / Advantageous Experience with log file analysis, International SEO (hreflang, multilingual sites), Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and SEO considerations, Experience implementing SEO automation processes.
