About the role

  • Designing and operating a disciplined Quarterly Portfolio Planning process that translates annual strategy into enforceable quarterly commitments.
  • Ensuring initiatives are outcome-based and capacity-anchored, facilitating structured trade-off discussions, and driving resource allocation discipline.
  • Establishing portfolio dashboards and investment transparency to support executive decision-making.
  • Improving commitment reliability and reducing mid-quarter scope churn.
  • Proactively surfacing cross-team dependencies and resolving escalation pathways.
  • Tracking and reporting execution health metrics—including predictability, cycle time, rework, and delivery risk—and implementing lightweight but rigorous governance frameworks.
  • Owning Aha (or equivalent) as the system of record for portfolio planning.
  • Standardizing initiative intake, prioritization templates, and scoring frameworks.
  • Partnering with Engineering leadership to align product planning with the SDLC.
  • Partnering closely with Product, CTO, UX, Finance, and Commercial leadership to align investment planning with revenue targets and capacity constraints.
  • Facilitating executive portfolio reviews and structured decision forums to drive alignment and transparency.
  • Leading Technical Program Managers supporting cross-domain execution.
  • Building a high-performance, data-driven Product Operations function and fostering a culture of accountability, clarity, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Operations, Portfolio Management, or Strategic Program Leadership.
  • Proven experience scaling product-led organizations with multiple product lines and operating in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong understanding of agile product development and software delivery practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement structured prioritization frameworks and run quarterly or rolling investment reviews.
  • Experience working with portfolio management tools such as Aha, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional facilitation and executive communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of driving execution discipline without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
