About the role

  • Responsibility for oversight of law enforcement relationships that support a professional, ethical and positive reputation for the Government Group
  • Work with Market Planning and Sales teams to develop and roll out messaging to amplify integrated marketing campaign messages.
  • Coordinate global messaging across stakeholders and agencies
  • Develop plans in conjunction with Market Planning and Sales to interface with law enforcement organizations such as NSA, FLEOA, FoP, IACP, MCC, NAPO, IBPO, NPTA, USPA, etc
  • Coordinate pitches for law enforcement publications and byline article development
  • Attend spokesperson media training
  • Create weekly updates, provide activity status report, monthly results report and quarterly dashboard – which tracks activity, tone of coverage, arising issues, etc.
  • Submit for LE association awards as directed by sales leaders including, gathering content, materials for competitions, completing submissions, notifying internal stakeholders and determine channels for external (i.e., social media, news release, website) and internal promotion
  • Support RELX-wide efforts as required
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field.
  • 7+ yrs related experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in State/Local and Federal law enforcement
  • Demonstrated success developing and managing industry programs and relationships trade associations
  • Results-focused approach
  • Professionalism to deal with confidential and sensitive business questions and issues
  • Track-record of success in an environment where change is constant; fast paced and often with strict deadlines
  • Law Enforcement message development expertise
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Experience supporting integrated marketing programs
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • History of collaborative, collegial working relationships, preferably in a matrix model.
