About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear, actionable analytics solutions.
- Build and optimize SQL queries, views, and data models to ensure high performance and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through validation, testing, and monitoring.
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, dashboards, and metrics definitions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems and data pipelines, resolving issues proactively.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from business teams.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analytics teams to improve data architecture and tooling.
- Apply best practices for data visualization, dashboard usability, and storytelling.
- Continuously improve existing reports and dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control policies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions in production environments.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas).
- Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization).
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Strong data modeling skills for analytical and reporting use cases.
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, SSIS, Informatica, or similar).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
- Ability to perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with data engineers, product managers, and business teams.
