About the role

  • Design detailed radiant floor heating and plumbing system layouts using LoopCAD and CAD software
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop optimized system designs
  • Prepare material take-offs, quotes, and cost estimates based on project requirements
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and gather design inputs
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and safety guidelines
  • Provide technical support to installation teams during project execution
  • Review, revise, and update designs based on customer or internal feedback
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and revision records
  • Stay current on hydronic heating, plumbing technologies, and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience designing radiant floor heating and/or plumbing systems
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, LoopCAD preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of hydronic heating and plumbing system components and installation methods
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
