About the role
- Apply principles of Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering to manufacturing processes to achieve maximum quality and productivity from labor, materials and equipment
- Provide shop floor support in daily problem solving activities
- Identify and implement projects such as productivity and cost reduction projects in assigned area
- Develop and maintain appropriate process documentation to support ISO 9000 Certification
- Create job work instructions on existing and incoming equipment
- Develop and implement World Class Manufacturing processes
- Investigate, justify and implement capital equipment needs
- Communicate company goals, objectives and philosophies to the workforce and attend communication meetings
- Follow Emerson Ethics and Safety Programs and adhere to Export, Import and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements
- Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs and adhere to ISO 9000 Standards
- Job duties include but are not limited to the above
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited technical school or college.
- 1-2 years experience
- Travel Required: Minimal
- Personal Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Proficient with Internet
- Above average verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to get along with others
- Can effectively function in a matrix and team environment
- Daily attendance
