About the role

  • Architect and execute engineering strategies supporting Cox Automotive’s EV battery lifecycle vision
  • Lead solutioning for new technologies and services, ensuring scalability, sustainability, and regulatory alignment
  • Collaborate with OEMs, partners, supply chain, and product teams to identify market opportunities and technical pathways
  • Build and maintain capacity plans and engage industry partners
  • Oversee design of engineering workflows, equipment, and tooling for battery diagnostic, repair/remanufacturing processes
  • Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and compliance standards
  • Champion agile development and lean manufacturing principles and standard documentation
  • Manage transition from design to production across global battery service centers, including labor and schedules
  • Optimize systems for diagnostics, repair, repurposing, and recycling of EV batteries
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and field issues
  • Enable machining, electronics lab, calibration and software development
  • Develop and manage engineering KPIs and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
  • Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, mentor technical leaders, and foster a culture of innovation and accountability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 12 years’ experience in a related field (alternatives: master's +10 years; Ph.D.+7 years; or 16 years’ experience)
  • 7+ years’ experience in a management or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven success in product development, process engineering, and team leadership
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and collaborative communication skills
  • Experience with EV battery systems, EV remanufacturing, diagnostics, and lifecycle management (preferred)
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 (preferred)
  • Certifications in agile, lean, and Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
  • Business acumen with experience working with OEMs and complex supply chains (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
