About the role
- Elevate our IT support and system management to world-class standards; strategize on IT infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance, including macOS fleet management for a global team.
- Lead by example in system administration for SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and Okta, and in endpoint management for macOS.
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing deep knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Drive initiatives that enhance IT infrastructure, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
- Act as a key decision-maker in the selection and implementation of IT tools and practices that align with Remote's long-term vision.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior IT operations role, with a track record of improving IT infrastructure and end-user support.
- Expert knowledge of macOS environments, SaaS platform administration, and security compliance.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team through complex projects and challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of strategic thinking and innovation.
- Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience in remote work environments is highly valued.
